Frequently Asked Questions

The LC Institute delivers on-site English and workplace communication training for North Atlanta employers, taught in person by Coach Cynthia, a bilingual, SEI-endorsed instructor with 10 years of teaching experience. Below are answers to the questions employers ask most about getting started, our programs, on-site scheduling, pricing, and the areas we serve. Can’t find what you need? Call (678) 933-8153 or message us on WhatsApp — we reply the same day.

Getting Started

It starts with a free consultation — usually by phone — where Coach Cynthia learns about your business, your team, and what's prompting your interest in training. From there she conducts a needs assessment, builds a custom curriculum around your workplace, and schedules the first class around your shifts. Most companies are ready for their first class within a few weeks of that initial call.

Coach Cynthia evaluates your team's current English proficiency levels, the roles involved, and the specific situations where communication breaks down — often through a site visit or short conversations with supervisors and employees. This assessment shapes the entire program, including the vocabulary, pacing, and scenarios used in class, rather than pulling from a generic course.

Just a space at your location where a small group can gather — a break room, training room, or similar area — and a point of contact to help coordinate scheduling around your shifts. Coach Cynthia handles the curriculum, materials, and instruction herself.

Classes are scheduled around your shifts, not the other way around, so start dates and formats are flexible to fit production, service, or rotating schedules. The best next step is a quick call or message to confirm current availability — most companies can begin within a few weeks of their initial consultation.

Programs & What We Teach

The LC Institute offers seven on-site programs: Corporate ESL Training, Workplace English Training, Business English Training, Manufacturing & Industrial ESL Training, Customized Language Programs, On-Site Workforce Training, and Cross-Cultural & Civics Training. Every program is delivered in person at your workplace and can be combined or tailored for a workforce with multiple roles and English levels.

Corporate ESL training is job-focused English instruction for non-native speakers, taught using materials and scenarios drawn from their actual workplace rather than generic grammar drills. Employees practice the vocabulary, instructions, and conversations they encounter on the job every day, so what they learn transfers immediately to their work.

Workplace English Training is built for frontline, production, and entry-level employees who need everyday, functional English for the job — instructions, safety, scheduling, and daily conversation. Business English Training is a separate program for managers, supervisors, and office staff who already communicate functionally and need more polish for meetings, presentations, email, and client interactions. Many employers run both programs side by side, each matched to the group it's built for.

This program builds the specific language industrial teams need on the floor — equipment and process terminology, safety procedures like lockout/tagout and PPE, quality-control communication, shift handoffs, and reading labels, SOPs, and safety signage. It's built primarily for manufacturing and construction companies, and also serves warehousing, logistics and distribution, and food-processing teams across North Atlanta.

A Customized Language Program is a fully tailored curriculum built around your organization's specific goals, workforce, and industry, starting with a comprehensive needs assessment. It's the right fit when your workforce has mixed proficiency levels, employees hold different roles with different needs, or you want to blend core English with soft skills, cross-cultural communication, or civics support in one program.

On-site workforce training is the delivery model behind every LC Institute program: professional English instruction delivered right at your workplace instead of an off-site classroom or app. It means no employee travel, higher attendance, and lessons tied directly to your team's real work environment, equipment, and signage.

Cross-cultural training focuses on how your team communicates and works together across different cultural backgrounds — communication styles, teamwork, and reducing misunderstandings on the job. Civics/citizenship training covers everyday knowledge of U.S. systems, like government basics and community resources, that helps newcomers feel more settled and confident. Many employers choose both, since they support a diverse workforce on and off the clock.

No. Civics and citizenship training is educational and supportive, not legal advice. Coach Cynthia covers general civics knowledge and how everyday U.S. systems work, which can be helpful context for employees pursuing citizenship, but any legal steps in that process should go through a qualified immigration professional.

Yes, and many employers do exactly that. Pairing English classes with cross-cultural and civics training builds language skills and workplace or community confidence at the same time, and a Customized Language Program can blend core English instruction with soft skills coaching, cross-cultural communication, and civics modules in a single program.

On-Site Delivery & Scheduling

Yes — on-site delivery is the core of how The LC Institute operates. Coach Cynthia teaches in person at your workplace, whether that's a manufacturing facility, construction site, warehouse, or corporate office, anywhere within our North Atlanta service area.

Very. Classes are built around your production calendar rather than a fixed classroom schedule, so training can be arranged around first, second, or third shift, staggered start times, rotating crews, or lunch-hour sessions. Scheduling is worked out together during the consultation and needs assessment.

Anything from one-on-one coaching to full department or team-wide classes. Group size is determined during the needs assessment based on how many employees need training and what proficiency levels are represented, so instruction stays focused and effective at any size.

Coach Cynthia is bilingual in English and Spanish, so she can clarify a concept in Spanish when it helps a lesson land faster, then bring the class back to English practice. Instruction is delivered in English — Spanish is used as a bridge, not a replacement — which is especially valuable for safety-critical language where partial understanding isn't good enough.

No. Every program starts with a needs assessment so each learner can be placed at the right level, from complete beginner up through more advanced speakers. Mixed-level teams are common, and Coach Cynthia adjusts pacing and materials so everyone makes real progress.

Employers receive regular progress evaluations throughout the program covering attendance and skill progression, not just a summary at the end. The reporting is straightforward and built so you can see the return on your investment, not just take it on faith.

Yes. Coach Cynthia builds lessons directly from your workplace's actual signage, standard operating procedures, and safety terminology, so employees learn the exact language they'll see and hear on your floor rather than generic phrases from a textbook.

Pricing & Consultations

Pricing is customized to your team's size, schedule, industry, and goals, so The LC Institute doesn't publish flat rates or a public price list. After a free, no-obligation consultation, Coach Cynthia puts together a clear fee schedule specific to your company — no surprises, no pressure.

Yes — the initial consultation and needs assessment are free, with no obligation to move forward. It's a conversation about your business, your team, and what's prompting your interest in training, which then shapes the custom quote Coach Cynthia presents afterward.
